Current Obsession: Nars Lipstick in Manhunt. The sheer formula is something I can build on for a different look from day to night. One coat is a poppy color. Three coats is an amazing red orange. It's just the shade I've been searching for... And it looks great on most skin tones.

My Inspiration: Jason Wu, Spring Ready to Wear 2012 Collection
The Rules: Be sure that the rest of your makeup is neutral. The goal is glowing skin that does not compete with the bold lipcolor. Focus on well-groomed brows and a highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes. Dust a light pink blush just on the apples of your cheeks. Subtly define your eyes with a thin black line along your top lashes or use several coats of mascara.
The Looks: Enjoy some of my favorites.

Those beautiful voluminous skirts get me every time. Stunning. As you can see from the runway, a poppy shade of lipstick works with many different looks. For more Jason Wu, check out his limited collection at Target, here.

Will you try poppy lipstick?
Treat everyday like you are on the runway.
Just bought Manhunt! The first layer is kind of pink on me. I haven't tried to add more layers but I'm hopeful it'll turn into that AMAZING poppy red. I've been dying for that color on my lips, too!!
ReplyDeleteHi MikaK,
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a brighter red tone, I recommend layering Nars "Flaming Dust" lipstick over the "Manhunt." (It's a cute summer color on its own too!) Let me know how it works out for you!
